Pearl Quality The Shape

Pearls are generally spherical in shape. Among them pearls come in various shapes. The closer the pearl is to a perfect circle, the higher the rating. However, there are various shapes such as distorted pearls called baroque pearls and drops. The products are designed and finished by making the most of the characteristics of the shape.

Round: True circle. It is a round pearl with no Irregularities. The evaluation of pearl is higher.

Semi-round: It will be slightly more uneven than the round. Included in B Rank pearls

Drop: It is a pearl shaped like a drop. It is wonderful to process it into a pendant.

Baroque: Drop type with streaks. The etymology is said to be Portuguese, meaning “distorted pearls”

Button: It looks like a crushed button. The shape with a colon is very lovely.
